The Aspen Boarding Kennel
The “Dog Dormitory” provides a large flexible living environment for our canine friends.
Aspen Boarding Kennel provides a truly clean, comfortable, fun, yet responsible environment for the animals of Aspen, as well as those dogs and cats that are here on vacation. The boarding kennel caters to approximately twenty dogs and four cats, and we do accept the occasional bird or rabbit as well.
Each boarding animal must be fully vaccinated before entering the Aspen Boarding Kennel. Dogs must have received a Rabies vaccine, a Distemper / Parvo vaccine, as well as Bordetella. Cats must have received a Rabies vaccine, a Feline Leukemia vaccine, and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS. Proof of vaccinations is mandatory in order to protect your pet, as well as the other animals living in the facility.
The Aspen Boarding Kennel generates revenue in order to support the homeless pets living in the Aspen Animal Shelter. In essence, the animals with homes support the animals without homes. Thanks to our boarding customers in the Aspen Boarding Kennel, we are able to operate a self-sustaining facility which saves the lives of hundreds of homeless pets in the Aspen Animal Shelter each year. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
The Aspen Boarding Kennel is a well-designed, gorgeous facility. The entire kennel is designed to be sunlit, so that no artificial lighting is required during daytime hours. Employee housing ensures that a staff member is on site at all times.
Aspen Wags to Riches, a Pet Boutique and Salon, is located on the top floor of the Aspen Boarding Kennel, enabling boarding customers to pick up last-minute toys and treats for their pets to enjoy while staying at the kennel, and offering the opportunity for grooming on the last day of your pet's stay in the kennel. Book a grooming appointment at the time of drop-off for boarding, and receive 10% off of your grooming bill.
The Aspen Boarding Kennel provides blankets, feeds Iams, and administers medication at no extra cost. You're more than welcome to provide your own bedding, food, toys, etc.
Doggy Day Care is especially popular, and is included in the daily rate for all dogs. Each Doggy Day Care participant must be recommended by their owners and approved by the staff.
Dogs that don't get along well with the other boarders are socialized and exercised in their own private yards. Similar to Doggy Day Care, outdoor time is included in the daily rate.
